A bit about us
Welcome to The Gallery Eclectic, where creativity knows no bounds. We are Sean and Denise Hancocks, a dynamic husband and wife team with over 70 years of combined experience in various ‘creative’ industries. Our journey, both professional and personal, has led us to the realization that true happiness and fulfillment comes from pursuing our passions.
Before embarking on this artistic adventure, Denise worked as a freelance illustrator, while Sean spearheaded the UK arm of a prominent pre-press business. Despite successful careers, a lingering sense of disconnection from our true creative selves inspired us to take a leap of faith. In 2017, The Gallery Eclectic was born.

Our mission is simple: to reconnect with our creativity and create a body of work that encapsulates the beauty and diversity of the world around us as we see it. From the mesmerizing seascapes to bustling cityscapes and serene landscapes, our work draws inspiration from the rich tapestry of life. Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Yorkshire coast, our home, we are obviously influenced by its natural beauty, yet our work extends far beyond the ‘borders’ of Yorkshire.
Now, seven years since our beginnings, we’re genuinely humbled to witness our prints finding homes across the globe. The support and appreciation from our patrons have fueled our passion and allowed us to continue doing what we love. Every brushstroke, every photograph, and every piece of art we create is a testament to the authenticity and dedication that underpins The Gallery Eclectic.
